‘Asleep Outdoors’ is a strings and solo harp cue that was written to capture the kind of gentle, massage-like music that is at once relaxing and serene. The opening strings pads set the tone of the piece as the gentle solo harp takes on a larger role at the end in fast scalular passage-work as well as harmonics, glissandos, and gentle Irish-like figurations at the conclusion. All of the music contained in this cue is beautifully scored and gives restful depth, seemingly floating adrift, like the soft tide of ocean waves.
