Love Film Music Cue [1'42"]

‘In Black in White’ is a cue in which the French Horns play a nostalgic theme which sounds like an Old Hollywood film by Waxman or Korngold, as the introduction concludes we hear the Violins play a romantic theme as woodwinds echo during the sustained notes of the melody. A violin soloist plays the last bars of the theme as Horns turn the tuneful mood to a more melancholic atmosphere. Then a rush in the strings gives rise to full orchestral outbursts of passion, Horns then modernize the mood with more sophisticated chords reminiscent of that of Alex North or André Previn. Strings and Winds play with major and minor inflections over each other as Celesta and Harp conclude the serene feeling.
