Panoramic Film Music Cue [1'30"]

‘The Ship Arrives in Ellis Island’ is a lovely cue that is at once cinematic and nostalgic. Opening with a somber solo clarinet line, strings, and English Horn then take over the long melody. As the camera pans back to a full and impressive view in panoramic view, a broad and soaring high violin line comes to a full statement with trombones playing the underlining chords. It quiets to a noble statement of a descending D major scale that then becomes the impetus for a motif that is repeated again and again, growing in intensity and orchestrational, as chimes, sweeping strings, and full orchestra plays the motif unabashedly romantic and beautiful.
